Represent your club in British Riding Clubs competitions

Compete for MDRC

Each year MDRC enters teams in the British Riding Clubs area qualifier competitions, giving our members the opportunity to represent the club at regional and national level.

We compete in Indoor and Outdoor Showjumping, Dressage, Hunter Trials (XC) and Horse Trials (ODE) for both junior and senior riders. Teams compete at Novice, Intermediate and Open levels, so there's something for everyone regardless of experience.

All events are qualifiers for British Riding Clubs Championships – qualify through our area and you could be competing at the national finals!

Team dressage from Prelim through to Medium and above.

One Day Events combining dressage, showjumping and cross-country.

What You Need to Take Part

Requirements

  • Be a current MDRC member
  • Up-to-date horse vaccination certificate (compliant with BRC rules)
  • Provide your own transport to events
  • Appropriate tack and attire for discipline

Costs

As a team member, you will be asked to pay a cap fee (part of the entry costs) and provide your own transport to events.

The club covers the remainder of the entry fees, making it an affordable way to compete at a higher level.

Help Us Out

Support at Events

For all team events the club enters, stewards are needed to help things run smoothly. The club may ask for your help to steward – this could be yourself, or friends, family or colleagues.

Stewarding is a great way to get involved, see how competitions work behind the scenes, and support your fellow club members. No experience necessary – just enthusiasm!

Did you know? Many successful competitors started out by helping to steward at events. It's a fantastic learning experience!
